UCA MARKETING CLUB

The Mission of the UCA Marketing Club is to:

  1. Familiarize students with careers in marketing;
  2. Give students opportunities to participate in projects that can be used to highlight their résumés and make them more marketable; and
  3. Better prepare students to seek employment in the field of marketing.

Some facts about the UCA Marketing Club and the American Marketing Association:

  1. The UCA Marketing Club is a collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association.
  2. Approximately 390 collegiate chapters and over 16,000 student members participate in the American Marketing Association.
  3. The American Marketing Association is the premier marketing association in the world and is the ideal job networking organization for the marketing student. Upon graduation, if the students maintain AMA membership, they will be able to attend a number of professional development marketing conferences to better develop their personal network for career tracking.
  4. The cost of joining the UCA Marketing Club is fairly inexpensive compared to other social and professional organizations at UCA. Annual dues to the AMA are only $30.00 per year and UCA Marketing Club dues are only $10.00 per semester.
  5. The UCA Marketing Club has been involved in many worthwhile activities including:

    a. Marketing research projects for the UCA Health Resources Center, the Conway Downtown Merchants Association, the City of Conway, and Conway Corporation;

    b. The UCA Marketing Club takes an annual trip to either  regional or national marketing conference.

  6. The UCA Marketing Club has 2 major social events each year (Fall & Spring) where members get together and enjoy Cajun barbecue and volleyball.

  7. As a student member of the American Marketing Association, students receive discounts on AMA publications and receive MARKETING NEWS monthly, the newspaper of the AMA.
  8. Upon request, students also receive an employment kit which contains examples of résumés, cover letters, and typical questions asked by prospective employers.
