The UCA Marketing Club (MC) was chartered as a student chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) in 1981.

Joining the UCA Marketing Club

  1. To be a member of the MC, you must also join the AMA as a student member.

  2. Get an application from a MC officer or Dr. C and fill it out.  Be sure to sign the back of the AMA membership form concerning the AMA code of ethics.  There is also a UCA MC membership application.  Fill it out too.

  3. Yearly dues for the AMA are $35. Make out your check for $35 to the American Marketing Association.

  4. Yearly dues for the UCA MC are $20.  Make out your check for $20 to the Marketing Club.

  5.  Return your forms and checks to Dr. C, who will forward your application (under UCA MC letterhead) to the AMA.

A Few of the Benefits for MC Members

Marketing News: As a student member of the AMA, you will receive monthly Marketing News Magazine.  It is an excellent magazine that covers the entire field of marketing.

Central Arkansas Professional Chapter of the AMA: The MC has developed a great working relationship with the Central Arkansas Professional Chapter of the AMA.  A large number of MC members have attended the monthly meetings (with featured speakers and excellent luncheons) of the Professional Chapter.  Professional Chapter meetings are the second Tuesday of each month.  Contact Dr. C. if you are interested in going.

On Campus Speakers: The MC will continue to have meetings featuring central Arkansas marketing professionals.  Our members have acquired valuable information from these speakers, and some have lead to internships for students.

International or Regional Conferences: Each year for the past 12 years, the MC has attended either a regional (Atlanta, GA) or international (New Orleans, LA) collegiate conference.  As many as 20 MC members have attended these conferences each year.

Marketing Club Socials: Each semester the MC has a social (barbecue, etc.), so that MC members can get to know each other on a more personal basis.
